2023 Annual Meeting

The Tri-Area Annual Meeting for 2023, otherwise known as our "Together on Mission Gathering,” will be Saturday, October 14th at Central Baptist Church in Clovis. The meeting is scheduled to start at 4 p.m. and conclude by 5 p.m.

The speaker for the main session will be Dr. Ricardo Rivera, who heads the newly formed team for the Baptist Convention of New Mexico, the People Groups Team. He will share a message and inform us about how the work is going among the various people groups of New Mexico. Ricardo will preach his message bi-lingually, that is, in both English and Spanish. Ricardo and his wife, Lillian, are pictured below.

Roy Martin, Worship Pastor for Parkland Baptist Church in Clovis will lead our singing and will also do so bi-lingually. In other words, we will also sing in both English and Spanish (which ever is your preference). Roy is pictured below with his wife, Tami.

As we have done in previous years, the main session is scheduled to go on along with two other gatherings for youth and kids. The Students on Mission Gathering will feature Dane Wilkerson as the speaker. Dane grew up in one of our Tri-Area churches, Emmanuel Baptist in Portales. He is now serving as the Student Pastor for Hoffmantown Baptist Church in Albuquerque. He is pictured below with his wife, Stephenie.

Leading worship in the Student gathering will be Phillip Wright, Student Pastor at Central Baptist Church in Clovis. He and his wife, Tiffany, are pictured below.

As with previous annual meetings, childcare will be provided for younger children (babies through 2nd grade) and the Kids on Mission Gathering will be provided for children 3rd grade and older. Our leaders for this year's Kids on Mission Gathering will be Joe and Kerry Vivian. Joe is the Associate Pastor of Children and Families at Eastern Hills Baptist Church in Albuquerque. Kerry is a Middle School Science, Social Studies, and Bible Teacher for Eastern Hills Christian Academy. Both of them have been featured as part of the program for Young Lives Ablaze over the past few years. They are pictured below.

Plan now on your church participating in this year's annual meeting. On the week after Labor Day, Tri-Area will activate a registration form for churches to use to inform us about how many folks will attend each gathering at the annual meeting.
