Welcome to the ONE DAY - Tucumcari resource page. The ONE DAY New Mexico mission trip will focus on providing opportunities for God’s people to share the Good News and saturate two New Mexico communities with the gospel in 2025: Silver City and Tucumcari. ONE DAY has been set as happening on Saturday, September 27th.
New Mexico Baptist churches are encouraged to put together a mission team of folks who want to participate. A few churches may need to travel to one of the ONE DAY communities on Friday in order to be there to fully participate on Saturday. However, most churches will be able to travel on Saturday to the ONE DAY community, participate in the outreach opportunities, and return home, all in ONE DAY!

Below are the steps to mobilizing your church to become involved in One Day - Tucumcari:
Step 1. SCHEDULE ONE DAY ON YOUR CHURCH CALENDAR:
If you fail to plan, you will plan to fail! So, if you are serious about your church being involved in ONE DAY, plan accordingly by putting the following important dates on your church calendar. You can download a copy of the three month ONE DAY Planning Calendar by clicking HERE.

Step 2: RECRUIT YOUR MISSION TEAM:
Actively recruit mission team members starting July 6th, if not before. Continue to recruit team members up to the registration deadline of Monday, September 1st. Use the Mission Team Sign Up Sheet for members to sign up. Click on the link below to download and print off as many copies as you need.
Background Checks:
Each participant from every church involved will need to do a background check since every venue in ONE DAY will possibly or likely involve children. Katy Parker with the BCNM has prepared a list of resources to help your find assistance with background checks if you need it. You can download it by clicking HERE. Liability Insurance:
The BCNM will provide liability coverage for ONE DAY.
Promote ONE DAY:
Of course, it is hoped that you will be promoting ONE DAY in the days and weeks prior to when this countdown begins, but start promoting the ONE DAY New Mexico mission trip in earnest starting in July.

Step 3. INVOLVE YOUR CHURCH IN PRAYING FOR ONE DAY:
A state-wide 40 day prayer emphasis begins on Monday, August 18th for ONE DAY. So the prayer guide should be made available to members of each congregation at least by Sunday, August 17th. Step 4. TRAIN YOUR MISSION TEAM:
Since the 3 Circles training is six sessions, training for the 3 Circles gospel presentation begins the week of Sunday, August 17th, with a training session held weekly through to the week of Sunday, September 21st. These trainings could be held on Sunday, on Wednesday, or on any other time of the week for members of the mission team going to ONE DAY and for any other church members who are interested.
Promote 3 Circles Training:
Download the promo videos, the videos for each of the 6 lessons and copies of the Trainer Guide and the Trainee Guide. you will want to start promoting the 3 Circles class at least by Sunday, July 27th. Sunday, July 27th, August 3rd, and 10th - promote the 3 Circle class with an announcement and/or sharing a promo video.

Step 5. REGISTER YOUR MISSION TEAM:
Team leaders will need to register their team members by Monday, September 1st. There are two forms to fill out, using your sign up sheet as a reference. You will transfer the information team members give you when they sign up to the online forms, so our ONE DAY leadership team can properly prepare for September 27th. We are asking for churches to pay $10 for each t-shirt ordered. You will receive them at orientation on September 27th. T-shirts are optional and not required. Please make the check for your t-shirt order out to Tri-Area Baptist Association and mail it to:

BEYOND ONE DAY:
After ONE DAY, many churches may want to schedule similar opportunities for their members to engage people in gospel conversations using tools like the 3 Circles. It might be good to schedule such an event sometime prior to Easter Sunday next year.
